E45 is an emollient used for treating dry skin ailments such as chapped, calloused, rough skin, sunburn and detergent hands. It is also suitable for use for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and certain forms of psoriasis. It has moisturizing properties that leave your skin soft, comfortable and relieved.
Its main active ingredients include white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and anhydrous lanolin. E45 is a mild cream and can be used everyday by anyone, including infants over 1 month of age.
E45 cream is meant for external use only. Its use should be completely avoided in case you are allergic to any of the ingredients. You must stop using the cream and consult your GP if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction such as skin rashes.

Skin reactions may occur in people who are allergic to its active ingredients, namely white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and anhydrous lanolin. General allergic reactions may occur in the form of rashes and redness. If you suspect any such reaction or skin irritation or something unusual happens, stop using the cream and immediately consult your GP.
If you experience any other unusual side effect, or if the condition worsens, consult your doctor immediately.
The cream should be applied strictly on the affected parts, applied in the appropriate quantity as prescribed by your GP.
Wash your hands well before and after application. Usually the cream should be applied not more than three times a day. In case of a missed dose, apply it as soon as you remember.

In drier skin conditions, the skin begins to lose its natural moisture and becomes scaly, cracked and rough. It loses its ability to hold water, leaving the skin dry. E45 cream helps relieve this condition allowing the skin to heal slowly and restore its ability to retain water.
