The main ingredient of Priligy namely dapoxetine is effective in treating adults suffering from premature ejaculation. Dapoxetine is a part of a group of drugs called ‘selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors’. It increases the action of serotonin by inhibiting the serotonin transporter. As a consequence of this effect, the time taken for ejaculation is increased significantly and also the control over ejaculation is improved. This would effectively reduce the frustration about premature ejaculation.
