Fexofenadine hydrochloride present in Fexofen is an antihistamine. The fexofenadine hydrochloride 120mg Film-coated tablet contains Fexofenadine hydrochloride. The medicine helps to get relief from hay fever symptoms like blocked nose, watery and red eyes, sneezing and runny nose. Fexofen should not be taken if one is allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any other ingredient of the drug. One should avoid the drug if they have problems with their liver or kidney. This medicine is not recommended for pregnant and breast feeding women. Breast feeding mothers and pregnant women should seek doctor’s approval before taking the medicine. If you are taking any medicines for indigestion that contain aluminum or magnesium, make sure you keep a gap of at least 2 hours between Fexofen and the antacids you take. Fexofen can cause side effects, but not everybody get them. The serious, but rare side effect of Fexofen includes severe allergic reaction. It causes swelling of the tongue, lips, mouth, throat, etc. leading to breathing problems.
